About Us

“Sing Forth The Honour Of His Name: Make His Praise Glorious.” Psalm 66:2

A Christian Community

Brazos Chorus is a Christian community choir since its inception in 1992. Maestro David Anavitarte founder and director of Brazos Chorus, has dedicated his life to giving God all the glory through the art of music. The choir began as a men’s chorus at Huguley Memorial Hospital, Fort Worth Texas. Ladies were added to the chorus in 1998. Kathy Anavitarte chose the name “Healing Heart” which reflects the mission of the chorus - the healing ministry of Jesus, through music. Healing Heart became an independent community choir in 2009. In 2016 we changed the name once again to Brazos Chorus, as the ministry continues to grow. We perform at churches, community events and seasonal concerts with the Brazos Chamber Orchestra.
